In the heart of the Louron Valley, between the mirror lake of Génos-Loudenvielle and the Pyrenean peaks, Balnéa invented a concept unique in France: a thermal spa accessible to babies from 9 months old.

The Five Worlds: What to Expect

Balnéa isn’t a simple thermal bath — it’s a journey through five cultures, each with its own atmosphere, architecture and temperature.

The Roman Baths (Indoor)

Large hot tubs, neck jets, massage benches, bubble path. Temperature around 34°C.

The Japanese Baths (Indoor)

Zen atmosphere, wooden décor, subdued lighting. Successive pools at increasing temperatures (34°C to 38°C).

The Inca and Mayan Baths (Outdoor)

The showstopper: floating in 35°C water, facing the lake and mountains. The Mayan baths offer this panoramic view that justifies the trip alone.

For Families with Children

Balnéa’s big plus: babies from 9 months are welcome in specific areas. This is extremely rare in thermal centers.

Family Pass: €61 to €66 depending on season (2 adults + 2 children).

Practical Information

Rates 2025: Adult 3h: €21-25 | Child (3-12): €14-17 | Baby (9-35 months): €6

Getting there: Loudenvielle, Hautes-Pyrénées. 1h30 from Toulouse. Free parking.

Our Verdict

Balnéa remains the best family spa in the French Pyrenees. The five worlds concept works, the thermal water is authentic, the setting facing the lake is exceptional.
